projects
I’ve worked on a bunch of different projects over the past many years, some of them successful, others abandonned. Below is an incomplete list. Most of these are very old and I don’t actively work on them anymore. Some (like most of the Xfce-related projects) have had maintenance taken over by others.
- Xfce4 - my personal page with information about my work on the Xfce desktop environment (a bit out of date at this point)
- Xfmedia - a simple audio/video player
- Airconfig - a simple MacOS X-esque GUI for configuring wireless networking
- Mailwatch - a mail checker applet for the Xfce4 panel with multiple mailbox and protocol support
- Xfce4 Volstatus Icon - a system tray icon for safely ejecting removable devices
- Xfconf - a lightweight, flexible, next-gen configuration system for Xfce
- GHal - Glib/GObject bindings for libhal and libhal-storage
- glib-objc - Objective-C bindings for Glib/GObject
- xfce4-notifyd - a themable, glitzy gtk/cairo notification daemon implementing the server/daemon side of the Freedesktop.org Nofitications Specification
- XfVNC - a simple, lightweight VNC client
- transd - a daemon that watches for window creation and sets window transparency values based on rules defined in a config file
- xfce4-perl - perl bindings for the Xfce4 desktop environment
- GarXfce4 - a command-line ports-like compiler/installer for Xfce
- Cornell Hockey - ECE476 final project, spring 2003
- img2html - a couple perl and PHP scripts to create a web gallery
- ballroom competition registration software - a web-based PHP/MySQL solution for handling registrations for a ballroom competition
- gtk-newspost - an unfinished GUI frontend to the newspost commandline tool for easy posting of large binaries to usenet.
- Eridani - an advanced IRC file server script for x-chat, with an integrated GTK GUI for configuration and monitoring
- smtpproxy - a local SMTP proxy that detects network settings and changes the outgoing SMTP server for mail sent through it
- bfm - unfinished GTK 1.2 (gtkmm, actually) file manager
- random scripts - it’s the little things that make life easier… i really need to post these sometime
